Metrolinx: Construction expected May 25 - June 15


ONGOING CONSTRUCTION ALONG THE BARRIE CORRIDOR

GO Expansion involves improving, updating, and modernizing our infrastructure, including tracks, bridges, and stations so that we can increase service and connect you to our region today and tomorrow. It also involves extensive maintenance efforts to ensure that our services run safely and efficiently. We want to let you know about track work, which will impact you.

HOURS OF WORK

  • Date: Work begins May 25th and will be ongoing until June 15th.

  • Time: 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • We will be removing the wall at Lot 419 at Rosemount Avenue.

  • This will involve drilling and the breaking down of the wall.

  • There will also be the removal of shurbs, concrete stairs and wood walls.

  • This work will take place between Church Street and King Street east of Weston Road.

  • This work can be disruptive to nearby residents, and we are doing our best to carry out the work as quickly as possible.

  • Nearby residents can expect a large amount of noise in the area caused by construction equipment.
