Concrete Pour at Caledonia Station - May 22

Metrolinx - On Friday May 22, crews at Caledonia will be pouring concrete to form a wall in the future station’s Main Entrance. During the pour, westbound Eglinton Ave W will be reduced to one (1) lane only between Blackthorne Ave and Gabian Way. Lane reductions will begin as early as 10:00am and last until approximately 4:00pm.

What Work is Taking Place?

On Friday May 22, crews at Caledonia will be pouring concrete to form a wall in the future station’s Main Entrance. During the pour, westbound Eglinton Ave W will be reduced to one (1) lane only between Blackthorne Ave and Gabian Way. Lane reductions will begin as early as 10:00am and last until approximately 4:00pm.

Hours of Work

  • Friday, May 22, 2020

  • Lane reductions will begin at approximately 10:00am and last for approximately six hours.

  • The contractor may not always work during permitted hours but may do so at its discretion.

  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

  • This work may be longer or shorter than expected.

What to Expect

  • Concrete trucks will be entering and exiting the workzone.

  • Motorists can expect delays when travelling through the intersection.

  • One westbound lane on Eglinton Ave may be occupied while this work takes place.

  • There will be no impacts to pedestrian routes or TTC stops.

Travelling Smart during Construction Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
