COVID-19 Update & Event Cancellations

Dear Friends and Neighbours, Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the increasing precautionary measures recommended by Toronto Public Health to help curb transmission of the virus, I would like to inform you that the following public events and meetings have been cancelled: March 19: Winter Skating Party at Amesbury Arena March 19: Toronto Police Service Community Police Liaison Committee  March 26: Committee of Adjustment, Etobicoke York District  April 4: Community Environment Day at Eglinton Flats At this time, no new dates have been set for these events and meetings and any updates on their rescheduling will be communicated to you. I would like to remind residents that all City-run March Break camps, child care centres, and recreation and community centers have been cancelled or closed. Event permits at City of Toronto facilities have also been cancelled for the time being. Emergency services, garbage collection, water treatment, TTC and road maintenance operations are unaffected and will continue to deliver services. If you have questions about COVID-19, please visit the Toronto Public Health website or call 416-338-7600 (Mon-Fri 8:30am-8pm & Sat-Sun 10am-6pm). The Ontario Ministry of Health has created a self-assessment tool to help determine if you need to seek care, available hereI would also like to take this opportunity to remind residents that as the situation related to COVID-19 continues to evolve, we should all be taking the appropriate measures to help protect ourselves and each other. Please remember to wash your hands often with soap and water, avoid touching your face with unwashed hands, cover sneezes and coughs, and stay home when you are ill. Please stay safe.
