Sidewalk Restoration Works at Caledonia Station
As early as Monday September 20, 2021, crews at Caledonia will perform sidewalk restoration works on the north side of Eglinton Ave W, between Blackthorn Ave and the commercial access road east of Gabian Way. To facilitate this work, the sidewalk on the north side of Eglinton Ave W will be closed periodically adjacent to the Primary Entrance. This work is expected to take place between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm for approximately two weeks.
Lane Reductions at Black Creek Drive and Eglinton Avenue West
As early as Monday September 13, 2021, crews will begin permanent traffic light installations at Black Creek Drive and Eglinton Avenue West. To facilitate this work safely, eastbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane only. This work is expected to take place between 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on weekdays for approximately two weeks.
Overnight Construction on Weston Road
On September 16 and 17, overnight work will be taking place on Weston Road, between St. Philips Road and Little Avenue Road. Work will take place between the hours of 9 pm–7 am.
Road Restoration Work along Industry Street
As early as Tuesday, September 7, 2021, crews will begin performing road restoration work along Industry Street. The street will be reduced to a single lane for both directions of traffic in front of the EMSF entrance. This work is expected to take place between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. for approximately four weeks.
Overnight Track Construction at the Railway Corridor
As early as Tuesday September 7, 2021, crews will begin working overnight at Railway Corridor to facilitate track construction. This work is expected to take place Monday - Friday between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. for approximately three weeks.
Improving Access to the Humber Sanitary Trunk Sewer
The City of Toronto is improving an access pathway for the Humber Sanitary Trunk Sewer along the Humber River. The work will take place along the east side of the Humber River, north of Eglinton Avenue West, and west of Emmett Avenue and Sidney Belsey Crescent. Work will begin on September 7, 2021 and end on October 15, 2021.
Crosstown LRT: Noise Barrier Wall and Soil Wall Removal
As early as September 2021, crews will begin removing the temporary noise barrier wall and soil nail wall located on the south side of Eglinton Avenue East, east of Brentcliffe Rd. The temporary walls were erected in 2014 to facilitate the construction of the east portal. Removal of the walls will take approximately two months.
Black Creek Bridge Waterproofing (Phase 2)
As early as Thursday, September 16, 2021, the traffic configuration along Eglinton Avenue West at the Black Creek Bridge will change to accommodate the next stage of waterproofing the Black Creek Bridge. This work is expected to take place between 7:00AM–7:00PM on weekdays for approximately 15 days.
Black Creek Bridge Waterproofing (Phase 1)
As early as Monday, August 30, 2021, crews will begin waterproofing the Black Creek bridge along Eglinton Avenue West. This work is expected to take place between 7:00AM–7:00PM on weekdays for approximately 15 days. For the duration, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction, east of Black Creek Drive.
Overnight Work: Jane St. & Trethewey Dr.
On August 27, overnight work, between 9PM–7AM, overnight work will be taking place at the Jane Street and Trethewey Drive intersection.
Overnight Work: Weston Rd & St. Philips Rd
On August 27 and August 29, between 9PM–7AM, there will be overnight construction taking place at Weston Road & St. Philips Road.
Toronto Hydro Electrical Upgrade: Jane-Woolner
Toronto Hydro is rebuilding the electrical distribution system to improve the reliability of electrical service in the area. The expected timeline of the project is September 2021 to October 2022.
Study Update: Yorkdale Block Master Plan
The City of Toronto is undertaking a Block Master Plan study for the Yorkdale Shopping Centre and a related Transportation Master Plan (TMP). The results of the detailed evaluation will be released in Fall 2021, and the public will have an opportunity to provide feedback on the preferred solutions before a final report is presented to City Council for consideration.

As early as Tuesday, August 9, 2021, a new traffic configuration will be implemented on Eglinton Avenue West between Weston Road and Black Creek Drive. This configuration is expected to remain in place for approximately five weeks. One lane of through traffic in each direction will be maintained.

Toronto Hydro is rebuilding the electrical distribution system to improve the reliability of electrical service in the area. The revised timeline of the project is May 2020 to April 2022.

Toronto Hydro is rebuilding the electrical distribution system on sections of Weston Road to improve the reliability of electrical service in the area. The expected timeline of the project is September 2021 to February 2022.
Watermain Replacement on Kincort St
The City of Toronto will replace the watermain and the City-owned portion of substandard water services on Kincort Street from Castlefield Avenue to Ingram Drive. The project will run from August 16, 2021 to November 27, 2021.
Temporary Traffic Change: Weston Rd/Eglinton Ave W
As early as Tuesday August 3, 2021, crews will implement a temporary traffic configuration at Weston Road and Eglinton Avenue West to facilitate road restoration works. This configuration is expected to remain in place for approximately one week. Once this traffic stage is complete, crews will shift construction outside of the intersection and a new traffic configuration will be implemented.
Nightly Westbound Lane Closures on Eglinton Ave W
The westbound lane of Eglinton Avenue W between Black Creek Dr and Weston Rd will be closed on weekday evenings to install the fire hydrants and facilitate wet utility connections work. Closures will be in place between 8:00 pm and 6:00 am, for approximately three weeks.
Kitchener Corridor Maintenance: Toronto West
Weather permitting, work to align and smooth out the tracks will begin in your community the weeks of June 6 – 26, 2021. The work will be completed travelling north to south, moving approximately 1.5kms every night, from Old Weston and Davenport Road to Queen Street and Dufferin Street.
