Dear friends and neighbours,

I hope this past long weekend was safe and enjoyable.

I know to most of you, road safety is crucial, especially in residential areas where our neighbours and children are often present. That is why, I have begun the return of Vision Zero "Slow Down!" signs at my constituency office. These signs play a vital role in raising awareness among motorists about their speed and encouraging them to slow down. Let's work together to create a more mindful and considerate neighborhood. Remember, every little action counts, and your effort can make a big difference. You can learn more about where and when to get your sign by reading my news below.

On Saturday August 19th, the Toronto Wildlife Centre will be in the community at Smythe Park playground to teach families about the local wildlife. There will be five activity stations, each with a specific topic, and families will rotate in groups around each station. I encourage everyone to take advantage of this unique opportunity to learn about our local wildlife. Admission is free, the event will start at 2 p.m. and will run until 4 p.m.

The Culture Shock Arts Festival is one week away! Join me in enjoying local Music, Art, and Food in the Weston Community from August 16th to August 19th. You can find more details regarding the festival by clicking the flyer below. I hope to see you there!

On Sunday August 20th, the Humber River Pals will be hosting an environmental initiative to clean up our beloved Humber River. I am extremely happy to see our Community come together to take care of our local environment and waterway. All supplies will be provided and you can sign up to join the cleanup by simply scanning the QR code below, or clicking the flyer.

I wish you and your family a safe weekend.

Sincerely,
Frances
