Dear friends and neighbours,

I extend my heartfelt congratulations to everyone who contributed to the fantastic Pumpkin Parade last night. The creative carvings and the illuminated display were truly remarkable , showcasing everyone's artistic talents. I would like to express my gratitude to the WVRA for organizing this event, and a special thank you to Daniela Schifano, Rebecca Amaral, and Nora Biagioni for their dedicated efforts in creating a wonderful family gathering in our community. Your hard work and creativity are greatly appreciated.

Exciting News! Cycling Connections will be coming to York-South Weston! Over the coming years, the Neighbourhood cycling plan will connect in multiple directions, ensuring the safety of pedestrians, cyclists. I will continue to update you on upcoming meeting dates.

Throughout the month of November, Toronto residents are encouraged to participate in shaping the City's 2024 budget and the future of Toronto. You can share your ideas through the virtual and in-person consultations or by taking part in an online survey, accessible via the city's 2024 budget webpage. I encourage you to participate in shaping the city's financial plans. Please see below for more information.

On November 5th, the Mayor will proclaim Remembrance Week, which runs from November 5-11th. Throughout this week, the City will offer various programming initiatives including Remembrance Day ceremonies, Indigenous Veterans Day on November 8, and a social media campaign. Lest we forget

The Mount Dennis Legion Branch 31 will be holding their annual Service of Remembrance this Sunday, November 5th at 2:00 p.m. I hope to see you there! More information can be found below.

Don't be alarmed if you notice someone picking through yours or your neighbours waste bins. The City of Toronto is commencing a four-week waste audit in York-South Weston. The Audit began October 31st 2023 and will completed by November 24th 2023. These periodic waste audits are an essential part of assessing the quantity and composition of waste generated by Toronto residents. Please see below for further details.

"Fall Back!" as we head into the weekend, a quick but important reminder: don't forget to set your clocks back one hour at 2A.M. on Sunday as we "fall back" and gain an extra hour of sleep!
