I would like to inform residents that I will be hosting Community Environment Days in our Ward this year. Our first event has been secured for Saturday, June 11th, 2022, at Amesbury Arena, located at 155 Culford Road, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. I will be sure to inform residents again closer to the date.
On another note, I would like to thank all the community groups, associations, and organizations who have arranged clean-up events across the Ward, some of which do so annually. Clean-up events are a thankless venture. Not many are aware of and appreciate the hard work, determination, and planning efforts of those who volunteer their time to effect change in our community. I encourage anyone interested in contributing to reach out to their local community groups and associations to arrange a clean-up event in your local neighbourhood. Also, please send me any photos resulting from your events, and I would be delighted to advertise them in my eNews.

Sewer Upgrades on Parson Court
The City of Toronto will be rehabilitating existing sewer infrastructure in your area. The project is part of the Council-approved Capital Works Program to renew aging infrastructure, reduce the risk of leaks, and ensure continued long-term reliable sewer service. Depending on the type of repairs needed, construction will be completed in two or three phases over the next 12 months. Each construction phase will last approximately three to seven days. This work is essential to ensure the City’s infrastructure remains safe, in a state of g od repair an d able to meet Toronto’s needs. During construction, the contractor is responsible for all aspects of health and safety on site as specified under the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act, which includes implementing COVID-19 mitigation practices. Sewer Upgrades on Queen’s Drive
This rehabilitation work includes cleaning the interior of existing sewers, installation of a structural liner inside existing sewers to seal cracks and/or joints, repairs to maintenance holes, as well as upgrades to the City-owned portion of sewer connections, where necessary. The majority of the work completed does not require excavation. Access to the sewer is made through maintenance holes on the street. As part of the work, the contractor may be on your street multiple times during the various phases of work. Phase 1: a condition assessment of the sewer is completed with a closed-circuit TV (CCTV) camera to verify the condition. Phase 2: the sewer is cleaned of debris and hard deposits. Depending on the sewer condition, the work may proceed to Phase 3 which involves installing a structural liner in the sewer to form a new Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP). If Phase 3 work proceeds in your area, you will receive a subsequent "Phase 3 - Construction Notice" that provides more information before the work starts. The "Service Disruption" and "Odour" headers below outline information and only pertain to Phase 3 work. Please note that there will be a lag of approximately one to four months between each construction phase.
