Dear friends and neighbours,
This weekend is filled with events and activities in our community. Before I begin to mention these events, I want to share that the Fall Programs at the Amesbury Community Centre are now available for registration. I have included the link to view these programs in my news section below.
This Saturday, September 23rd, the Humber River Pals will be hosting an environmental initiative to clean up our beloved Humber River. I am extremely happy to see our Community come together to take care of our local environment and waterway. The group will be meeting at the Cruickshank Park Parking lot (across the street of 37 Little Ave). All cleanup supplies will be provided and you can find all the details below in my Community Events section.
Another intriguing event scheduled for this Saturday is the Undocumented Stories Exhibit. This exhibit explores stories by undocumented Toronto residents about the challenges of living with precarious status. You can find full details regarding this event below in the Community Events section.
The TTC Mount Dennis Division will be hosting a 5K Fun Run on Sunday September 24th at 9 a.m. All donations will be going to The United Way.

The City's Property Tax, Water & Solid Waste Relief Program is still open for applicants until October 31st, 2023. This program helps seniors and low income individuals by providing rebates on their Property Tax, Water, and Solid Waste expenses from 2022. If you or someone you might know may be eligible for this program, please know my staff are available to assist with applications at 2221 Keele Street, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You can find the full details of eligibility for this program below in my news section.
